“Very soon... the world will end.”/ “It’s the only way to save everyone. I have to do it.”

Might have said this before, but Luke gets the best written character arc in the prequel series.

We meet him in PL4 as a gloomy oracle child who predicts that the world will end. He’s lonely and terrified of the spectre, but Layton teaches him that they need to keep a clear mind in dire situations.

By the time Azran Legacy rolls around, Luke has experience in leaping out of aircrafts to save his friends.

When it comes to preventing the end of the world, Luke is the one with the clearest mind. While Bronev mopes about his lost wife and dreams, Emmy questions where her loyalties lie, Descole has his identity crisis, and Layton is treated to the Bronev Family Backstory, Luke just wants to save everyone. It’s not quite as complex as Descole’s motives, but Luke’s only 12 here.

As the Azran sanctuary falls from the sky, Aurora hopes that she‘ll be reborn as a wonderful human being like Luke.
